In the first images it just saying that there should be no more war and the should just have peace. In the last photo, on this column, it's a poster of the people being against the draft.
In the first photo it shows students, who got drafted into the war, that are against of going so they're are burning their draft cards. In the second photo it shows mothers and parents on a march, walking around town so they can give out the message of stopping the Vietnam War and wanting peace. In the third photo , the Anti War Movement, it was very big and it was all over the world. Famous singers that were against the war would make special appearance and sing about peace.
In the first photo, it has John Lennon, holding up a sign saying the "War Is Over". He too was against the Anti War and he was against the Anti War Movement because he saw that the Anti War Movement as being a bit hypocritical. The protesters were saying they wanted peace, but what they were doing was violent in his eyes because they were starting a war with the government.. In the 2 photos, it just shows how the protesters really wanted to show their message to everyone and give their message to the government that they protested and made speeches in front of the Washington Monument.
In the first photo, Nixon was president, so the people saw that Nixon was going to cause more of a war, since he was sending troops to Cambodia and bombing Cambodia. That is why the poster says "4 more years of death" because Nixon is going to be their president for the next four more years. In the second photo, it shows that the government is the one controlling us, and that the people are their puppets. The government gets the money while the people work hard for nothing. In the last picture, its basically hippies doing a march saying to not go to the war.
In the photo it's a student dead on the ground. He got shot by the police while he was protesting. He and three other students got killed and six others got wounded. This was a big outbreak and all over the news. This is when people started realizing that the movement was becoming very serious. In the second photo, there is twp male hippies, one of them is wearing a shirt saying "Don't kill for peace, live for it." I think this meant was just because you fight in the war, and win the war doesn't mean you're going to win peace. You live for peace and you don't cause violence.
Hippies were very popular in the Anti War Movement. Since, hippies were known for wanting world peace and no more violence they fit in perfectly into the Anti War Movement.. For a while, hippies were doing this, they would put flowers into the soldiers riffles. The flower symbolizes peace.
